The Waterfront Leisure Centre in Greenock is a major sports and leisure destination designed by FaulknerBrowns Architects for Inverclyde Council. The project was part of a wider economic regeneration strategy for the waterfront area and includes a number of innovative leisure concepts.
The building design creates a unique combination of water and ice leisure attractions. Visitors can enjoy everything from a swim in a tropical wave pool to swimming lengths in the 25 meter competition pool. A large naturally light four lane curling rink with stunning views of the adjacent River Clyde has been combined with a leisure ice pad which can accommodate ice discos.
The whole complex, complete with a state of the art fitness studio, health suite, dance studio, bar and café area has been designed to cater for everyone creating an inclusive family leisure destination.
