FaulknerBrowns worked with Lancaster University Estates to re-examine and refresh the Campus-wide University Masterplan. This review was brought about by increased University development and expansion plans, including future new academic, research and business accommodation, and principally, the new build and re-provision of the majority of on-site student residences.

FaulknerBrowns have been party to discussions with the City and District planning authorities who have indicated strong support for a renewed University masterplan to form a framework for future developments. Starting with a review of the original 1963 Masterplan, FaulknerBrowns have developed a robust strategy to structure the future development of the academic, domestic and recreational facilities at the university supported by a clear and sustainable pedestrian, transport and landscaping infrastructure.
