Greenock Waterfront is a major sports and leisure development designed by FaulknerBrowns for Inverclyde Council. The project was part of the economic regeneration of the Greenock Waterfront and includes a number of innovative leisure ideas.
FaulknerBrowns won the commission in competition with three national practices after representatives from Inverclyde visited several of the firm's completed projects and examined the practice's organisation at their Newcastle upon Tyne offices.
The curling pad includes four rinks in a modern naturally lit space with stunning views of the adjacent River Clyde. The leisure complex includes a leisure/entertainment ice arena, a competition swimming pool, a mini-waterpark and a 4 rink curling pad.
